We see 10 people have been online tonight looking at the blog. They are probably looking for the photos and video that were taken at today's Kapa Haka session - sorry that it is after the kids bedtime before I had a chance to upload. The Junior students had their Cross Country this afternoon so only Middle and Senior School attended today - girls at 2pm and boys at 2.25. The students are performing at Assembly tomorrow and again at the Parish - School 10am Mass at St Mary's on Sunday. Could all the children sit with their families on the right hand side of the Church at Sunday's Mass please.
Here are some photos and video from today.
REMINDER: Whanau hui at school on Wednesday 19 June 5.30pm. Come in the student entrance to the Admin block. All welcome.
20 June
Today we had everyone who attends Kapa Haka from 2.15 - 2.45. What a big group we have - over 100 students! The group learned a new waiata which had really fun actions. Great way to keep warm on a freezing cold day. Mrs Cato forgot to bring her camera - pity.. you'd love to see footage of what the students were doing. We'll try and capture this next week. It's wonderful to have some of our parents coming to see what happens in Kapa Haka time. You are always very welcome to come and join us between 2pm and 2.45pm. Usually the girls come first at 2pm then the boys at 2.25pm.

Mrs Cato was at Mystery Creek Fieldays with a class today so Mr Macmillan supervised the students at Kapa Haka. He was impressed with the singing.

Some of our Senior Kapa Haka students went with Koro Tini and Mr Macmillan to the Novotel at 8.30am. The students were involved with a Powhiri for a Vet Conference. Heard some lovely feedback - a number of the conference delegates from the South Island really enjoyed seeing the students involved in this event. Thanks to Alec's dad, Craig for inviting us to be part of this event.

All the girls came at 2pm to Kapa Haka. At 2.25pm today Koro worked with just the 20 Senior students who were selected to represent the Kapa Haka group at a Powhiri for a conference being held next Monday. The group had a rehearsal for this event.

A big thank you to Mr Volschenk for helping out with the supervision of students at Kapa Haka. Mrs Cato was tied up hosting some visiting teachers from a Christchurch school. Mr Volschenk couldn't believe how many students are coming to Kapa Haka each week and he really enjoyed your singing.

Ihaia and Daniel were tour guides for Megan McKenna who is visiting Rotorua to spend staff with our staff. Megan is an internationally renowned theologian and storyteller. Ihaia and Daniel did a great job of showing her around Whaka and Ohinemutu.

We had about 98 students attend Kapa Haka today. The girls came first and learnt a new song. They were followed by the boys - who were a very enthusiastic group today.
