Today it was the boys turn to have some photos placed on the blogsite. We had a great practice today with 80 students attending. We were missing a few students as Rooms 1 and 4 had Kick It and Room 16 students were on a trip to Hamilton today. Last night at the Whanau Hui it was decided that it would be a good idea to have some video footage of the waiata and accompanying actions that the students are learning. We weren't quite ready to do that today but did give it a quick try to see how it would work out if we filmed during a normal practice with no rehearsal.  See our short video clip below.

Kapa Haka started in March and students were asked to complete registration forms in order to keep attending after the first two sessions. Our tutor Marewa is unable to attend at present as she has just had a baby. Koro Tini is the Kapa Haka tutor and has decided to work at this stage with the girls and boys in separate groups. The girls have been attending from 2.00 - 2.25pm and the boys from 2.25 - 2.50pm.
We currently have 104 students registered to attend.
