Re: Organisation for Ahurei on THURSDAY the 24th Of November

Rehearsal Time:            Meet Mrs. Dunkley in the hall at 8.40 am SHARP.  We will bus the students to and from the rehearsal and will return in time for morning tea. The rehearsal is at the Convention Centre (recently renamed the Sir Howard Morrison Performing Arts Centre).

Who is in charge: Koro Tini
Teachers accompanying the group:  Mrs. Sylvia Dunkley and Mrs. Anne Cato

Evening Arrangements:           
Meet to get ready for the Ahurei at 6.30 pm at the Convention Centre (we have hired a room to get ready in – The “Concert Chamber” Room)

CHILDREN MAY NOT ENTER THE ROOM PRIOR TO 6.30 PM PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE THERE TO SUPERVISE THEM
Students need to eat dinner before they come.
Please ensure students arrive in school uniform and are punctual. Students may wear a taonga if they wish.

Girls:
Ensure hair is well brushed and out (ready for hairdressers)
Bring a hairbrush
A named bag for belongings (a plastic shopping bag is fine)
No nail polish please.

Boys:
Black undies or shorts
Named bag for belongings (a plastic shopping bag is fine)
Clean faces (ready for stenciling)

Parent Helpers:             We have parent helpers already organised for the night. Please contact me via the school office 3481701 or on 027 56 25 441 if you are able to help on the night with dressing and supervision of the children between 6.30 and 7pm.

Pick up:                             Please ensure children are picked up from the room we dressed in no later than 8.45pm.

Please note that photography during the concert is not permissible.  We will provide water bottles and a small snack for the children. We look forward to a wonderful night.

Te Ahurei – Rotorua Primary Schools Maori Festival TICKET INFORMATION

No late orders will be accepted.

Your child has been selected to participate in Te Ahurei – The Rotorua Primary Schools Maori Festival. Tickets will be purchased in one order from the school and will be sold on a “FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED” basis.  Our school has been allocated 150 tickets. TICKETS ARE LIMITED THROUGH OUR SCHOOL.

Alternatively, you may wish to purchase your tickets directly from Ticketek. These will be on sale from Monday, the 21st of November at the Convention Centre. (over the counter orders only).

You do not need to purchase tickets for the children who are participating but do need to purchase tickets for all family members wishing to attend (including babies and toddlers).

DVD’s are also available at a cost of $10. These will be issued late in the year.
